About Us

We are members of the major bookselling organisations; the Antiquarian Booksellers Association (ABA), the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA) and the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers (ILAB). The business was started by Christopher Saunders in 1978, originally run from a shop in Wells, Somerset. The shop closed in 1990, and  the business moved to  the Forest of Dean. In 1996 David Wilkinson joined and the new office was opened.

Our large stock of cricket books (including most years of Wisden), pamphlets, brochures, pictures, prints, postcards, letters, cigarette cards, scorecards, autographs and other memorabilia is now housed in a purpose built office/bookroom overlooking the river Severn.

We also have a small stock of books on other ball sports such as croquet and tennis.
Customers are welcome to visit by appointment, and a good selection of stock can also be seen at over 30 Bookfairs a year in the UK.
David and Wisdens

We produce 4-6 catalogues a year.

Chris grew up watching Somerset and played a lot of village cricket, at one point starting his own team so that he could bat and bowl when he pleased. David supports Warwickshire and the West Indies and still plays cricket, his batting average in 2003 being 45.08.
